Muliya was originally named PT. Adi Metal Jaya, and was founded
in 1990 by Mr. Ridwan Sanjaya. The company originally manufacture
only hurricane lantern to fulfill the huge demand of this product
locally. Equipped with old and used machineries, the company managed
to produce high quality hurricane lantern. Due to high production
efficiency, the company managed to be the leader in this industry.
In 1993, the company
expanded its line of products by adding kerosene stoves as new products.
In September 8, 1995, the factory was burned down. This accident
did not make Mr. Ridwan Sanjaya lose his objective. With full dedication,
he rebuilt the factory and continue grew the company.
In
1997, due to the old plant reached the maximum production capacity,
is is decided that the company needs to be relocated. The new plant
development took approximately 2 years, and it was finished on 1999.
During that time also monetary crisis swept across Asia, and lots
of Factories closed the operation. This company survived because
it exported products to African countries, United States, and The
Philippines .The whole company relocated there, and start producing
more products with capacity 10X of the previous location. The company
even received order from Indonesian government to make aluminum
boxes used for presidential election.
Ever
since the company relocated, the R&D department has developed
more types of item. The company did not stop at manufacturing only;
it expands to import export business as well as mining. The company
is still growing at an enormous rate, and is expected to continue
growing until it reaches international level.
